The Masters of Medicine conference has assembled leaders from their respective medical fields from all over the world with the intension of sharing expertise an knowledge which includes practices and technology the region has never seen before.
The Masters of Medicine conference offers a unique opportunity to continue exploring mechanisms to improve access, options, and quality of care to all Jamaicans and strengthening mechanisms for the development of appropriate and sustainable healthcare infrastructures, options, and systems to position Jamaica as a preferred destination for health and medical tourism. The Heart Institute of the Caribbean (HIC) and the Association of Black Cardiologists (ABC), USA hosted the annual International Masters of Medicine Conference and Trailblazer Award at the Spanish Court Hotel in Kingston, Jamaica, from January 17-19, 2020.
Masters of Medicine 2020 focused on advances in medical care and the applications of those advances in the care of patients in low-resource nations through technology transfer and human capital development under the theme “Medicine and Society.” The conference aimed to explore the intersectionality between society and medicine while examining various structural, cultural, and socioeconomic determinants that mitigate access to care in developing countries.
The event brought together a diverse audience and offered unparalleled learning opportunities, making it truly a Conference of a Lifetime.
